Terms of Service

Last updated 29 June 2026

This is a starting template. Have it reviewed by a qualified legal and tax practitioner before you rely on it in production.

Agreement

These terms govern your access to and use of Yin Yan. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a restaurant, you confirm that you may bind it to these terms.

The service

Yin Yan is a back-office platform for procurement, recipe costing, inventory, finance, and payroll. Features available to you depend on your subscription tier.

Accounts and tenants

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. The account holder is the tenant Admin and manages users, roles, and billing for the restaurant.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Paid plans are billed per location and quoted exclusive of 15% VAT. New restaurants start with a 14-day free trial. Annual billing includes one month free. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the platform, attempt to access other tenants' data, or use it to break the law. We may suspend access for conduct that puts the service or other customers at risk.

Your data and responsibility

You own the data you put into Yin Yan. The platform supports your compliance, but you remain responsible for the accuracy of your records and for your own tax and labour obligations. Statutory calculations are tools to assist you, not professional advice.

Availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance and factors outside our control may affect availability.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Yin Yan is provided as is, and our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. On termination you can export your data for a reasonable period before it is removed, subject to retention laws.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
