Yin Yan provides a multi-tenant back-office platform for restaurants. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the restaurants (tenants) who subscribe and the people they invite to use the platform.

Account details such as your name, email address, and role.
Restaurant data you enter, including suppliers, ingredients, recipes, purchase orders, stock counts, sales, and payroll records.
Billing information needed to manage your subscription and invoices.
Usage and device information collected automatically to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

We use your information to run the platform, provide the features in your plan, calculate costs and statutory amounts, support you, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your data.

Tenant isolation

Every record is scoped to your restaurant. Access is role-based, so your data is not visible to other tenants. Platform staff only access tenant data through audited support access.

Service providers

We rely on trusted processors for authentication, hosting, and payments. They may process data on our behalf under agreements that require appropriate security and confidentiality.

Data retention

We keep financial and tax records for at least five years to meet SARS retention requirements, and other data for as long as your account is active or as the law requires.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Contact us to make a request and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above.
